The Aztecs arrived in Mesoamerica around 13th century. But their language, Nahuatl, is still relevant today. Why? Aztec words was borrowed by the Spanish were later absorbed into English as well, including: chile/chili, avocado, chocolate, coyote, peyote, guacamole, ocelot and mescal.
